Coordination and training of the program contents.

The Challenge

To train technicians and middle managers in 12 localizations in the Spanish territory.

Project contracted by the Tourism Secretary of State, from the Government of Spain, in 2017. This initiative is part of the programs and strategies to improve the competitiveness of the different destinations in Spain. The main objective is the training of the staff in contact with the customer, and owners and middle managers of tourism companies. In this way, this favors the adoption of new skills and competencies, the updating of knowledge and the achievement of higher standards of service quality and sustainability.

Coordination and delivery of Anfitriones program trainings in twelve Spanish locations: Málaga, Úbeda, Córdoba, Valencia, Castellón, Benidorm, Vitoria, Tenerife, Pamplona, Éibar, Portugalete and Getxo.

Additionally, the certificate management, the coordination of the project and the preparation of a Program Development Report were developed.

The Process

In order to carry out this professional mission, a team of trainers was formed to achieve the geographical deployment and the project schedule. At the same time, some of the contents of the training materials were expanded, the necessary logistics and complementary services were organized, and the registration and delivery of certificates were managed.

Conclusion

The stakeholders’ training and sensitization is a clear and real tool for the acquisition of new competencies, skills and an attitude towards continuous improvement. Pax# team will continue to contribute to the training of human resources in tourism, incorporating new methodologies, resources and pedagogical tools.
